Commercial Project
For this project, we were given an existing site from one of several locations across Long Island. The Site chosen for this project was Mahland Place in Oceanside New York. We were then given a building that we had to design a site plan for using the Town of Islip Zoning Regulations for a Business 1 Building.

My requirements were to have a restaurant with a square footage determined based on the size of the site with a 1200 square foot minimum outdoor eating area and a 1200 square foot bar. The site was also required to have a 2000 square foot drive thru cafe with an outdoor eating area and a drive thru capable of holding 12 cars. The following plans are my proposed design for laying out these buildings on the site.

Landscape Plan
This page shows the layout of Landscaping on the site. Multiple types of local trees and shrubs are used throughout the site. On the west side of the site, there is a landscape buffer planted according to the above detail. In the northeast corner of the parking lot, there is a large berm to be planted according to the above detail.
